For Class 1 Trail (paved:)

  • El Dorado Community Hall (El Dorado) – Take Oriental St (across from the El Dorado Post Office on Pleasant Valley Rd,) stay left, then turn left, and follow to the end.  Flush Toilets.
  • Missouri Flat Road (Placerville) – Just past Walmart on the left next to Sierra Door & Supply.  Parking in Sierra Door & Supply’s parking area is illegal.  If the parking lot is full, please park at Walmart.  The businesses on the same side of the street near the trail also allow parking in designated areas.  Please respect our businesses parking area and walk the few extra feet – we’re out there to exercise anyway!  Bathrooms are available at the Old Depot Bike Park on the trail (.2 miles east of Missouri Flat Rd)
  • Ray Lawyer Drive Park & Ride (Placerville) – at the corner of Ray Lawyer Dr & Forni Rd.  No facilities currently.
  • The Placerville Station TH on Mosquito Rd (Placerville) – exit the Broadway exit.  Heading east, turn right and go back under the freeway.  There is paved parking available.  There are flush toilets at the station.  Heading west, there is a flush toilet in town on Main Street less than a mile, across from Bricks restaurant.  Heading east, there is a porta potty ~4.5 miles at Los Trampas Dr.
  • Smith Flat TH (Placerville) – This is also referred to as the Jacquier Parking. Exit Point View Drive and go north, continuing on Jacquier Road (the main road.) You will see the sign for the El Dorado Trail on your right at the corner of Jacquier Road and Camelia Lane.  Heading east, there is a porta potty ~2.5 miles at Los Trampas Dr.

For Dirt Trail:

  • Walmart on Missouri Flat Rd. There is “Bike and Hike Parking” on the west side of the building.  The trail starts behind the building.  There is a restroom in the front of the store by customer service.
  • El Dorado Community Hall on Oriental St in the town of El Dorado. There are public flush toilets in the park.
  • Bradford Park on Motherlode Dr is across the street from the trail.  There are flush toilets.
  • School – on the weekends there is parking at a small school on School Alley, off South Shingle Rd, near Latrobe Rd. There are no bathroom facilities.  It is a couple hundred yard walk north on Latrobe Rd to the trail.
